Not advice
Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. It says what the software does; what you do with it, and with money on any chain, is yours to decide and yours to answer for.
02
The money is yours
Compax holds nothing for anybody. There is no account we can freeze and no password we can reset: the keys are made on your devices, and a multisig rule is a rule about signatures, not a promise about prices.
What a chain does to the money on it — a fork, a failure, a fee — is the chain's doing. Software that talks to a chain cannot undo what the chain has done.
03
Examples are examples
3 of 5, any 5 of 9: these illustrate what m-of-n means, not what your group should choose. A rule too small is one person spending; a rule too big is money nobody can move.
04
The audit reports
The reports named on the wallet page are about the contracts underneath — Safe, Squads, the chains' own rules — commissioned and published by others. They are not about this application, and an audit is a reading of a codebase at a commit, not a guarantee about the money in it.

Running your own
Self-hosting puts you in the operator's chair: the same duties and the same risks, with nobody between your people and your machine.
